Exploration of a dried poppy head led to experimentation with building up the surface of the canvas using collage and tissue paper.  I used layers of painted stencilling and drawing to create this semi-abstracted poppy head.  This painting has a calm ethereal quality which would suit a bedroom, nursery or reading room.
